I recently earned Ph.D. in the Department of Industrial Design at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where I also completed M.S. and B.S. in Industrial Design.
As a design-based HCI researcher, I focus on the design and creation of novel artifacts that speculate about possible futures, with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. By adopting speculative and critical perspectives, my interdisciplinary work aims to uncover the potential impacts of these technologies on daily human life and society, contributing to a deeper and more nuanced understanding of how they can shape our world. Specifically, in my Ph.D. research, I conducted series of Research through Design that present various alternative perspectives on how evolving things interact and form relationships with humans.
